J.N.I. Beavers invade Finlaystone Country Park

The Beavers from J.N.I. Scout Group spent an exciting day on Sunday 21^st September down at Finlaystone Country Park near Langbank as part of their Outdoor Challenge badge.

Membership Numbers on the Increase

Over the last two years Scouting has returned to numbers last seen many years ago. In 2004 there were 498 members within the District, this year’s census was 616. The Scout Section continues to grow from 72 in 2004 up to 146, a tremendous accolade for the Scout Leaders who are providing quality programmes to ensure ever growing numbers.
