Group History

The cub pack was formed in the 1920’s. It was in the late 20’s and early 30’s that the troop succeeded in winning the County Flag three times in six years, which at the time meant the troop were allowed to retain it. It is still one of the most valued possessions.

Oldhall, as a troop, has always been keen on the outdoors. Summer camps have been held all over Scotland, Britain and also in Denmark. Some of the places that camps were held were Tighnabruaich 1946, Rashfield 1948, Newtonmore 1967, Denamark 1970, Oban 1988, Pitlochery 2009 and Newtonmore 2011. Special summer camp troop flags were made to record the camps.
