St Mirins
About
We run four different sections within our Group with Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers all taking part in balanced programmes covering a wide range of activities such as sports and outdoor skills as well as areas fairly new to scouting like environmentalism. We believe in the policy of ‘learning by doing’ giving our young people the chance to learn new skills through hands on learning like allowing our Cubs to grow there own sun flowers to gain an understanding of plants and allowing our Scouts and Explorers to take part in Outdoor skills such as fire lighting after they have been taught by their experienced leaders, in other words we dont just tell our young People about it, we give them the knowledge and skills to carry it out.
Location
St Mirins Scout Group is based in the halls of the St Mirins Cathedral in Incle Street Paisley in the centre of the the town. Our Central location means that we attract young people from accross the town giving us a mix of young people from different areas and schools in the local vacinity.
